Jessica Durrant is a fashion illustrator based in Atlanta, Georgia. Her work is inspired by travel, music, film, architecture, and Scandinavian design. She takes visual cues from contemporary fashion illustrators including David Downton, and classic artist such as René Gruau.
Durrant grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She studied Illustration at Southern Utah University. After her degree, she worked in a museum and put illustration to the side, choosing not to pursue it. That was until a few years later when she decided to make a change and slowly get back into a creative life. She began by putting her work on Etsy. Receiving a positive reaction, she gradually made the transition to doing it full-time.
With the use of social media Durrant’s work spread, grabbing the attention of big brands. Her work has since been featured in Marie Claire, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour.com, and Elie Saab’s Light of Now. Her clients include Target, Fenwick’s, and QVC. Recently she illustrated three books for L’Oreal Paris Kérastase.
